Opening Day for Baseball, makes me think about the importance of good starts and new beginnings.
Whether you’re just starting a running program or are a seasoned runner, its wise to begin with a running plan. “Fail to plan, plan to fail” – Most people who get injured from running had no plan. There are many good books and articles available for beginning runners and for seasoned runners. Never try to reinvent the wheel go with tried and true advice.
My best advice is get good shoes! They’re the only real equipment required (unless you run barefoot). I suggest a running shoe store and get fitted for the right shoe for you. Running shoes are all about how, where and how much you run. Shoes are not about a fashion statement or trends they should be about “Your Running.”
That’s my advice on getting to a good start, as for Baseball Swing at the first pitch!
